NutriTrack + AI ("the App") is developed by mpcode. This policy explains how the App handles your information.
All nutrition data, products, and food entries are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. The developer has no access to your iCloud data.
The App offers optional AI-powered nutrition estimation. When you use AI features, the text you type (e.g. food descriptions) or photos of nutrition labels are sent to the AI provider you have selected (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or OpenAI ChatGPT). These requests are made directly from your device to the provider using your own API key. The developer does not see, store, or have access to your AI requests or API keys. Please refer to your chosen provider's privacy policy for how they handle data.
The App can optionally read your daily steps, active calories, and profile data (height, weight, date of birth, biological sex) from Apple Health. This data is used solely to display activity information and adjust your calorie goals. Health data is never sent to any server or third party. HealthKit access requires your explicit permission and can be revoked at any time in Settings.
The App uses your camera to scan barcodes and nutrition labels. Photos are processed on your device or sent to your selected AI provider for nutrition extraction. Photos are never stored on any server controlled by the developer.
The App does not use any analytics, tracking, or third-party services. There are no cookies, no advertising identifiers, and no usage telemetry of any kind.
The App offers optional tip donations processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. The developer does not receive any personal information from these transactions. All payment processing is handled by Apple.
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted by the developer, no special provisions are required.
If this policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
